Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Swinson, a Californian nativeSwanson started acting at a young age. Her career began in the field of advertising where she appeared in several commercials. Her first appearance on TV was in an NBCs It's Your Move sitcom episode from 1984. Her big screen debut came just two years later in the romantic drama Pretty in Pink. Swan, who is known for her breathless voice and blonde hairlisp has been playing parts in a variety of roles over the last few years. She was awarded her the Young Artist Award in 1989 as the best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Pictures to portray Flowers in the Attic.
