Young relocated from North Carolina to Los Angeles, landing roles in the roles of Cathy Metsker and Rachel in JJ Abrams Mission Impossible: 3 with Tom Cruise and Keri Russel. In 2018, along with Oprah Winfrey Reese Witherspoon Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon, she was a co-star in the live action Disney adaption of A Wrinkle in Time.
